Undergraduate Experience (2009):
Program(s):
Psychology and Social Behavior BA
I graduated with a BA in Psychology and Social Behavior (one major) from UC Irvine in 2009. I never once experienced anything that wasn't soundly based in evidence and research. In fact, the thing I had the biggest issues with was the DSM-V (many of the 'symptoms' are far too vague and easily misinterpreted). Overall though, my study was based in the social end of psychology (esp. relationships, sexuality) rather than the cognitive, and I was never interested in psychiatry. Therefore, my focus for treatment was on behavioral and psychological therapy rather than pharmaceutical or (ugh) homeopathic medicine.
